Wiki

A wiki is a type of website that allows user to edit content.  While the pages can be restricted to who has permission to edit, most of the popular wikis will let anybody edit any page.  The idea is that a page that's either full of errors, spam, or has other problems will be edited out by another user before it becomes a problem.   

One of the best examples of a wiki is Wikipedia.org.  It is an encyclopedia site that anyone can edit or add to.  Yellowiki.org is a site that allows anybody to create a yellowpage type listing.   

For most business uses, wikis would make a poor choice.  Bob would not want his web site set up where anyone could edit.  But they can be fun sites to set up if you can find a topic you (and a lot of others) are interested in.
