MX RecordA Mail eXchange record is how the DNS system knows where to send emails addressed to your domain. When an email is sent to yourdomain.com, the server looks up the MX record for yourdomain.com and learns where to send mail. This is separate from the A record so that mail servers can reside on separate servers from the web servers, ftp servers, etc. More Information: |
