GoogleBotGoogleBot is the name of the web crawler that Google uses to index pages. If you look in your web statistics you may see user agent strings that include GoogleBot. This is one way you can tell if Google has been to your sites. The user agent for GoogleBot that you'll see in your log files is Googlebot/2.1d (+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html) Just because Google has visited your site doesn't mean that you're in their index. |
